As-Sadaqah Week 3. Hifz and Orphan Support (Sadaqah Jariya)
The best amongst you is the one who learns the Quran and teaches it.‘ (Bukhari)
The Prophet (ﷺ) said “I and the one who looks after an orphan will be together like this in paradise”, and he held his two fingers together. [Bukhari]
Alhamdulillah a total of £2280 was collected, with which we were able to:
• continue supporting the 6 hifz students (numbers 5-9 and no.3) from previous years with their studies (£180×6=£1080) Ummah Welfare Trust
(NOTE: 2 students we have previously supported completed their Hifz and another one will be finishing this year too insha-Allah, some students were unable to continue so we have been allocated new ones in their place) http://as-sadaqah.co.uk/hifz-student-sponsorships/
• support 4 Orphans for 1 year (£300×4 = £1200) Ummah Welfare Trust
Sponsoring a Hifdh student is one of the best forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. A donor can expect to receive Allah’s blessings so long as the recipient remains alive. If the recipient has passed on his learning before his death, then the rewards continue through the vehicle of his students.
We make dua that Allah accepts this from everyone and that it is a means of reward and mercy for a long long time. May it weigh heavy in our scales and grant us entry into jannah with the beloved Prophet SAW.
* DUA REQUEST. A brother’s mother in law passed away only a couple of days ago. May Allah grant her peace and mercy. May her grave be a garden from the gardens of paradise and may every stage be filled with ease and success. Allah give strength and patience to the family and reward them in these difficult times. We make the same dua for every one of our family members who have passed away and all the believers.
