2017- Week 3 – Building a Masjid
The Messenger of Allah (saw) said: “Whoever builds a mosque for the sake of Allah, like a sparrow’s nest or even smaller, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise. (Sahih)
Salaams.. Week 3 As-Sadaqah money has been given to Muslim Hands for the building of a masjid. Alhamdulillah a total of £2700 was collected. So with your £10 a masjid will be a built for our brothers and sisters in Bangladesh.
A Masjid is where Allah (swt) is glorified, praised and remembered as well as being the heart of the Muslim community. Donating to a Masjid, is an ongoing charity which continues even after a person dies and his/her book of deeds are closed. InshaAllah this will count as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jariya) for us.
The Prophet (pbuh) said: “The good deeds that will reach a believer after his death are: knowledge which he learned and then spread; a righteous son whom he leaves behind; a copy of the Qur’aan that he leaves as a legacy; a mosque that he built; a house that he built for wayfarers; a canal that he dug; or charity that he gave during his lifetime when he was in good health. These deeds will reach him after his death.” Saheeh Ibn Maajah
