Salaams week 4 £10 went towards purchasing toys for Bradford Royal Infirmary’s new children’s ward. Alhamdulillah we raised £2210.
With the help of ‘Give a Gift’ we were given a wish list of toys from the hospital for the new children’s ward play room. As-Sadaqah was able to purchase everything from the wish list in the quantity they asked. Separate gifts were also given to the children that were on the ward aswell. We visited and met with the hospital staff which was very humbling; they were grateful and asked to give thanks to everyone who contributed through As-Sadaqah and made it all possible.
With the remaining money that was left inshaallah we will be joining ‘Give a Gift’ on Eid day to help give out eid gifts to young children from Syria, Yemen and refugee families in Leeds.
We hope the toys bring a smile to the faces of many children who have to spend time in hospital away from home. It also gave us an opportunity to work with and do good in our local community. We hope to build more links locally looking forward inshallah.
•• Week 5 money will be going towards buying Qaidas for madrasah and masjid students as a means of sadaqah jariya ••
